Licensed Producer

The Peachland Cannabis Complex is located on a 20-acre property in Peachland, a municipality of over 5000 residents on the west side of the Okanagan Lake in British Columbia, Canada. The facility is home to Benchmark Botanics’ chief operations, including productions and R&D. The Peachland Cannabis Complex obtained a license to produce medical marijuana under the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (formerly the “ACMPR”), now the Cannabis Regulations, on October 13, 2017 and its sales license on September 5, 2018, an amendment for licensing of an additional component of its cultivation site – a purpose-built seed nursery facility on May 1, 2020, and an amendment for licensing of extracting, edible and topical products on August 20, 2020.

Production Capacity

The Peachland Cannabis Complex is currently a 12,700 sq. ft. indoor facility(Phase I), with five growing rooms and a production capacity of 550 kg of dried cannabis. Expansion plans are underway to construct an additional 10,000 sq. ft. facility and an additional outdoor cultivation area of 304,920 sq. ft.(Phase II) to increase production capacity. The Complex is designed to grow more than 60 different strains of cannabis varieties from seed to sale, but also houses the seeding, propagating, cultivating, harvesting, storage, research & development, genetic profiling, and oil extraction facilities.

Modern Systems

The Complex was constructed with air filtration system, irrigation system, and a security level 8 storage vault equipped with a 24-hour live indoor and outdoor laser security monitoring system. The interior facility walls are built to be fire-resistant, waterproof, as well as mould- and fungus- resistant to minimize plant susceptibility to microbial growth. A 10,000 sq. ft. indoor extraction facility is under construction, and outdoor operations of 7 acres (304,920 sq. ft) are designed to increase production capacity (seed nursery, extraction and packaging), and to increase cannabis seed varieties.

Secure & Sterile Environment

In addition to the laser security systems, the Peachland Cannabis Complex walls were built for safety and physical stability. Using a composite material consisting of magnesium oxide, the facilities’ walls are built to be physically strong, fire-resistant and waterproof.

Over 60 Cannabis Strains

The Complex can grow and produce more than 60 different strains of cannabis varieties and houses the company’s supercritical carbon dioxide extraction technology equipment for cold separation extraction method of cannabis oils. This will ensure that the highest quality of oil is being extracted. The Peachland Cannabis Complex is managed by Mr. Gao Yuan Executive Director of Potanicals Green Growers, the wholly owned subsidiary of Benchmark Botanics Inc. The Complex employs Master Grower, Quality Assurance Officer, Extraction Specialist and ancillary support staff.

High Yields – Low Costs

Benchmark Botanics plans to implement the use of an automated production system with complete controlled environment and a nutrition and irrigation system intended to produce higher yields while reducing labour and operating costs.
